WASHINGTON, DC – Society has made huge sacrifices over the past several months to save the most vulnerable people from the coronavirus.

People have been confined to their homes. Businesses, churches and schools have closed, and leaders have dedicated massive amounts of resources to stopping the spread of the virus and healing those who have contracted it.

And yet, not all people are being treated as if they are worth the sacrifice to save. New York, Pennsylvania and other state leaders are facing criticism for ordering nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients – putting the elderly and people with disabilities in greater danger.  …
