WASHINGTON, DC – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi believes Americans need to protect “God’s creation” for future generations, but not future generations from abortion.

On Wednesday, the pro-abortion Democratic leader touted her Catholic faith as she introduced a new bill to control climate change. She called protecting the environment a “moral issue” and “the existential threat of our time,” USA Today reports.

“If you believe, as I do, that this is God’s creation, this planet, we have a moral responsibility to be good stewards of it,” Pelosi said. “But even if you don’t subscribe to that, you know we have a moral responsibility to future generations.”

But Pelosi does not support protecting future generations of Americans – at least not from abortion or infanticide.

As Conservative Review commented on Pelosi’s hypocrisy: “… if our future generations manage to make it out of the birth canal without being burned by saline solution, dismembered, or otherwise aborted, then we have a moral obligation to them to do something about the changing weather? Wow.”

Despite claiming to be Catholic, Pelosi is a long-time supporter of the abortion industry. She has a 100-percent pro-abortion voting record, and maintains close ties with the largest abortion group in America, Planned Parenthood. Once, she even went so far as to call late-term abortions “sacred ground.”

In December, she told RollCall that “women’s reproductive health” – a phrase that includes unrestricted abortion up to birth – will be her priority this year.
