House Democrats voted to impeach President Donald Trump Wednesday night, but his approval rating continues to improve while a recent poll shows the majority of Americans oppose his impeachment.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) rejoiced at last night’s announcement of the historic partisan vote (230 Democrats vs. 197 Republicans) to impeach the 45th president on the first charge of “abuse of power” of his office. That charge alleged that Trump requested Ukraine’s president to investigate 2020 presidential election rival Joe Biden for leveraging foreign aid to protect the alleged corrupt business dealings of his son, Hunter Biden.

“Article 1 is adopted,” Pelosi proclaimed once the vote was announced. Almost immediately, Pelosi glared at Democrats (pictured) who had begun to clap, motioning for them to stop.

That announcement was followed by another partisan vote (229-198) to impeach Trump on a second charge: obstruction of Congress.

No Republicans voted for either article of impeachment; two Democrats voted for the first article, three for the second. On both articles, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) voted “present.”  ….
