As we approach a year since the pandemic began to affect our lives, many places still have significant restrictions. You might be preparing to observe Lent without being able to attend devotions and liturgies in person.

The ancient practice of receiving ashes on the forehead signals the start of this penitential season, and it’s hard to imagine Ash Wednesday without it! But even if you aren’t able to go to church in person today, there are several respectful ways you can observe this day.
