Dear Blessed Mother,

Randy HainYou may wonder why I am writing this letter to you.  As I reflected on you during Eucharistic adoration this week, I was reminded of how much more clearly I communicate when I write my jumbled thoughts on paper.  Consider this letter my meager attempt at letting you know what you mean to me and how much I need your help each day.

I remember how intimidated I was by the mere thought of you when I came into the Church so many years ago. Growing up as a young Protestant, I was taught very little of your role. I certainly never saw you back then as the Mother of God and Queen of Heaven. I didn’t know about you, so I feared you. Now, all these years later, I only feel a deep love for you. …
