Be Wise: The Art of Spiritual Warfare in the Pro-Life Movement

I’m chiming in on the current pro-life movement’s victories and setbacks, and how these play into the art of spiritual warfare.

First, let’s look at a few of the recent victories. These occurred just in January (just as we began our nation-wide 90-day prayer campaign, entitled, nineveh90forlife.com) …

In just the first 25 days of this 90-day prayer campaign, we have witnessed …

• President Donald J. Trump was the first President to directly address the March for Life

• President Donald J. Trump Proclaims January 22, 2018, as National Sanctity of Human Life Day

• US House passed The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act

• The Senate confirms Pro-Life Alex Azar as the newest HHS secretary

• The Senate approves Trump Nominee Pro-Life Gov. Sam Brownback as Religious Freedom Ambassador

• Trump administration creation of the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division of Health and Human Services to protect religious freedoms of medical professionals.

• Cecile Richards stepping down as Planned Parenthood head

• President Donald J. Trump clears the way for States to de-fund Planned Parenthood

Now, let’s look at two of the most recent setbacks that has some in the pro-life movement ready to marshal a coup d’état against this President’s administration …

1. Senate votes down the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act

2. Failure to defund Planned Parenthood in recently passed government budget plan

I am giving leeway to the potential that “strategy” is taking place.

Let’s take the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, first. Look at the images that flooded the internet. “Catholic” Senators high-fiving each other as they just voted for fully formed pre-born babies to be torn limb from limb. It was a horror that is sure to be blasted, over and over around the internet, in the lead up to the 2018 elections.

Next, everyone was hoping the new government budget bill would include the defunding of Planned Parenthood. To our horror, it was not. “What were they thinking?!?” was the general consensus of most everyone in the pro-life movement. “They have majorities in the House and the Senate … now is our time!” It seems so. Or, is “our time” just on the horizon, as the monumental 2018 elections approach? Is this a battle lost in order to win the war? Don’t doubt for a moment that the pro-life movement won’t be galvanized, maybe as never before, as we are on the verge of putting the final nail on the coffin of the culture of death. This begins with plastering the internet with all of the images/evidence showing Planned Parenthood’s involvement in the sale of baby body parts.

That’s just it. In just a few weeks, the eruption of campaigning for the 2018 elections takes place. Maintaining, or even growing, seats in the House and Senate is critical for taking the “next steps” in dealing the final blow to the culture of death.

Recall the “overreach” (moving way out ahead of the country) of the Obama administration, and its effect on the 2010 elections, and State seats … over 1,000.

The lessons learned from that “overreach” tell us to work effectively to move the minds and hearts toward a culture of life, but to be careful not to get out ahead the country.

The better, more wise strategy is to “maintain the momentum.” Now is not the time to abandon the leader of this momentum by joining the ranks of the anti-Trump movement. Otherwise, we may just lose those 1,000 seats and more. And, let’s not forget the leftist, ideological judges appointed by Obama … over 300. Let’s continue to support the appointment of constitutional, pro-life judges, under this administration. In other words, this 2018 election is HUGE!!

We need to be adults who can see the big picture and don’t need, as a child does, “immediate gratification.” The movements toward a culture of life have been enormous … let’s not derail that movement by demanding everything overnight.

The reality is that the horror of the Obama administration has awakened a huge army who have joined ranks in this battle to end the atrocity of abortion. Huge strides have been made in just that short period of time. Science has advanced enough to understand, clearly now, that that baby is not a clump of tissue. Public opinion is moving more rapidly in the direction of a culture of life. The pro-life army is well-positioned to deal the last blow to the culture of death. Now, is not the time to stage a coups against the Trump administration.

Finally, I believe this is our “Lepanto Moment.” We have many forces involved in the pro-life movement. I believe now is the time to marshal those forces together, primarily, in a prayer campaign such that our nation has never seen before. As a united front, we need to call out to God and, with the intercession of our Blessed Mother, rely upon the supernatural power of God to put an end to the culture of death.

I pray we find a way to unite these “supernaturalized warriors!!”
