A high percentage of evangelicals is still with President Donald Trump, according to the polls. OneNewsNow examines what might be motivating them in 2020.
Eighty-one percent of white evangelical voters cast their votes for Trump in 2016. Depending on the poll one might examine today, between 77% and 81% are likely to vote for him this time around. Southern Evangelical Seminary president Dr. Richard Land says the reason evangelicals’ support for the president is still strong is that they are faced with a similar choice as in 2016.
“Evangelicals understand what a stark choice they’re making this November – and how much worse off the country would be if they make the wrong choice,” he tells OneNewsNow. …
