Bishop Joseph Strickland, Posted on X, Dec. 7, 2025

I share the Traditional Intentions of the Holy Father once again. They are an excellent measure of any papacy. Give thanks for the ways that Pope Leo is promoting these intentions. Pray for him to correct any course that fails to promote them. They remind us that the Roman Catholic Church, with all Her human flaws, is the one true Church established by Jesus Christ. They remind us that Jesus Christ is Lord of all. These traditional intentions are…

  1. The Exaltation of the Church

  2. The Propagation of the Faith

  3. The Extirpation of Heresy

  4. The Conversion of Sinners

  5. The Concord between Christian Princes

  6. The Further Welfare of the Christian People

Let us pray that all will seek Jesus Christ, that all the baptized will seek fullness of life In Jesus Christ in His Church, and that all who are fully initiated as Catholics will not abandon Her but seek Her purification in the Blood of Christ.
