This may or may not be magisterially new, but I suspect it has been universally understood ever since the idea of blessings developed in Judaism. The out-of-print, Spanish-language book penned by now-Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandez, entitled “The Mystical Passion: Spirituality and Sensuality,” is similar in tone to another Fernandez book that sparked scandal soon after he was appointed, “Heal Me With Your Mouth. The Art of Kissing.” ....

In those cases, the person can do things that are objectively sinful, without being guilty, and without losing the grace of God or the experience of his love."... He quoted the catechism out of context for a reason. This is a common tactic with him and the James Martin, SJ cult and it’s poisoning people.

The 1998 book depicts an imaginary sensual interaction between Christ and a teenager, relates human orgasm to divine intimacy, and speaks about illicit sexual activities done in a way “without being guilty and without losing the grace of God or the experience of his love.”
