By Martina Moyski, Church Militant - Cardinal Burke is noted for co-authoring "Seeking Clarity: A Plea to Untie the Knots in Amoris Laetitia," a letter to Pope Francis asking for clarification on Amoris Laetitia ("The Joy of Love"), the post-synodal apostolic exhortation by Pope Francis on love in the family signed on March 19, 2016… Burke said that he shares Francis' devotion to Our Lady, Untier of Knots, so in that spirit, he, along with Cdl. Walter Brandmüller, Cdl. Carlo Caffarra and Cdl. Joachim Meisner, asked the Pope "to untie some of the knotty statements of the document for the good of souls."

CNA: Ohio “Humanity of the Unborn Child” Bill Would Introduce Fetal Development into School Curriculum

Catholic News Agency - A recently introduced bill in Ohio would add scientific information about the development of the unborn child to the state’s public and charter school curriculum… HB 90, known as the “Humanity of the Unborn Child” bill, would direct the state board of education and department of health to create educational programing that “provides accurate, scientifically verifiable information concerning the probable anatomical and physiological characteristics of the unborn child” throughout a pregnancy.

Laxity in Seminaries as a Contributing Cause to the Sex-Abuse Crisis, by Janet E. Smith

It disgusts me that such “jokes” — which clearly portrayed a reality — did not lead to a thorough investigation of McCarrick decades ago. The likely reason they did not was that, for decades, U.S. seminaries not only tolerated but recruited and favored seminarians who have sex with males.
