Sometimes specific errors are not stated; rather the error is encouraged by the refusal of those in authority to correct the beliefs and behavior of others who, in accordance with the spirit of the times, distort or lobby for impossible changes in the moral law or the Church’s ministry.

Unless you wanted to add a third, deliberate. Because it’s been clear from a series of concrete measures that what’s been said is not what’s going to happen. And what’s going to happen has not been said. Yet there’s a method, of a sort, to this madness... To begin with, the very format of this Synod is already a kind of deliberate confusion – and for a reason.

As we continue to review important truths of our Catholic faith, I am writing to you today to address the fifth truth in my Pastoral Letter of August 22, 2023: “Sexual activity outside marriage is always gravely sinful and cannot be condoned, blessed, or deemed permissible by any authority inside the Church.”... 'This basic truth of morality – that human sexuality is ordered towards a lifelong, mutually exclusive union open to the gift of new life – must be recovered for the sake of humanity.'
