In the 1970’s, he subscribed to a broadly inclusivist view of salvation; as he put it, “I expressed the hope, perhaps expectation, that few would be consigned to hell.”... He was not alone. During the time following the Second Vatican Council (and before), a movement arose within the Church to downplay any talk of Hell, and specifically to assume... that most people would end up in Heaven.

By Micaiah Bilger, LifeNews - A man injured himself this month while allegedly trying to steal a statue of St. Michael the Archangel from a church in Mexico, tripping and falling onto the statue’s sword... the alleged perpetrator, Carlos Alonso, 32, was drunk when he broke into Christ the King Church in Monterrey, Mexico on Jan. 14... in the process (of stealing a statue of St. Michael the Archangel), authorities said he fell onto the statue’s sword and seriously injured his neck, the report states.

Nnamdi Moneme, OMV, Catholic Exchange - Jesus assured us that this life is one of endless storms, storms that He has already overcome, “In the world you will have tribulations, but take courage, I have conquered the world.” (Jn 16:33) St. John reminds us: “The victory that conquers the world is our faith.”(1Jn 5:4) That is why God desires that we too mature in faith through these storms. We have no chance in this tumultuous world when we have only a stunted or childish faith in Christ, a faith that reduces Him to only preventing and delivering us from the storms of life.
