Gerry Murray shows this morning that, even after all we’ve been through and all that’s been done, we’re not entirely out of the woods when it comes to the abuse crisis. And that we’re also only a few weeks away from two years since the McCarrick revelations, with no sign that the promised report on the scandal is about to appear. All of this should remind us that we need to continue our efforts, daily and without letup, to keep our Church – from the local parish to the highest offices in the Vatican – on the right path.

Scripture says, When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting (Acts 2:1).
