By Fr. Richard Heilman - I remain hopeful that a “breakthrough” is on the horizon. I have no special gift for predicting the future, but this is my hope: That something happens, such as a breakthrough treatment being discovered soon, enough to quell the fear that those who contract the COVID-19 virus will have little danger of death. This would mean a quarantine would no longer be necessary and, in fact, we would be encouraged to “come out of our tombs” (our quarantine) and interact with each other in order to build up our immunity to fight the disease (herd immunity)… Could something like this happen before Easter? God only knows. But, I pray some kind of breakthrough comes along soon.
