Wells) murder we learned that the now-bulldozed Mother Seton rectory in Germantown, Maryland had been the site of years of appalling sacrilege and sin. It emerged that two priests, Rev. Paul E. Lavin and Rev. Aaron J. Cote, who had served at Mother Seton, had been credibly accused as sexual predators of teenage boys. Lavin has been stripped of his clerical faculties and Cote, accused of sexual molestation in at least four states and Peru, died in 2012. A third Mother Seton priest, who seems to have vanished from the state of Maryland, is widely known to have been sexually active with other men prior to my uncle's arrival.

Catholic educators everywhere should follow his lead in implementing similar policies in their schools… The timing of the guide could not be better, as society embraces a sorely confused understanding of gender identity.

This pope has a Peronista penchant for telling audiences what they want to hear, then proceeding with his liberal program anyways… The fact is that he gave an exclusive meeting last year to James Martin, with photographer in tow, knowing full well that that would send a signal of papal approval about Martin’s LGBT ministry… It is the faithful who should feel used by a pope who often says that “the meeting is the message.” This pope prizes the subversive value of meeting with dissidents.

He is also known to have challenged his fellow bishops about permitting priests to offer views that contradict Catholicism. In a meeting of the USCCB in 2018, he reminded them that “homosexual activity is immoral” and that “real care comes from acknowledging the sin.”... “Do we believe the doctrine of the Church or not?” Strickland asked.
