Williams, Ph.D., Breitbart - Earth Day has also taken on a decidedly more religious tone as organizers have perceived the power of organized religion to motivate people to climate change action… The 50th World Earth Day has been dedicated to Pope Francis and roughly coincides with the 5th anniversary of his encyclical letter on the environment, Laudato sí… “We are honored by the commitment” that the pope puts “into uniting people around the importance of the Earth at this very important time,” said Denis Hayes, the founder of Earth Day, and Kathleen Rogers, president of the Earth Day Network. “His encyclical Laudato Sí underlines the powerful relationship each of us has with our one Planet.”

Buchanan - The situation in which America will find herself after the virus passes and depression lifts will be almost unprecedented… We will have the same treaty obligations to go to war on behalf of dozens of nations in Europe and Asia and at the same time, we will be running deficits on the order of $3 trillion a year with a shrunken economic base… If Trump wins, borders will be tightened. The U.S. withdrawal from the Mideast will continue. U.S. manufacturing will begin to be repatriated. Transnational institutions will be downgraded, ignored and superseded… The watchword will be what it has lately been: “America First.”

Of those deaths, 18,690 were in the New York metropolitan area… That means that more than half (52%) of all deaths in America have occurred in the New York metropolitan area… What makes this statistic particularly noteworthy is that the entire death toll for 41 of the other 47 states is 7,661.
