But then he undermined that teaching, encouraging people in the mistaken belief that the Church will eventually take another step to accommodate same-sex marriage... “Homosexuals have a right to be a part of the family,” the Pope said, explaining his novel stand. Yes, but they do not have the right to redefine the family—which has always been the goal of the gay-rights movement.

Legalized abortion has led to mass infanticide of incalculable scale, and it clearly is the most important moral and political issue of our time. Sadly, neither major party has done much to end it. One revels in the evil, and the other mostly brings it up during election season for political gain... Second is avoiding war and military conflicts. As Catholics, we know that killing innocent non-American lives is as great of a sin as killing American ones.

Catholic News Agency - A poll released this week has found that Catholics from both major political parties said they want candidates to support religious freedom and oppose taxpayer funding of abortion, while they identified the economy and the coronavirus pandemic as major concerns leading up to the election... The poll found that Catholic likely voters, divided mostly along party lines, favor the election of Joe Biden over President Donald Trump. Biden's lead among Catholic voters narrowed in several swing states, and among Catholics who attend Mass weekly.
