With Louisiana Abortion Case, the Supreme Court Can Re-Establish the Rule of Law, by Andrea Picciotti-Bayer,

By Andrea Picciotti-Bayer, EWTN News - The Supreme Court has been the accomplice of the nation’s abortion advocates for almost half a century. In 2020, however, the high court has the opportunity to end this unholy alliance… On Wednesday, the Supreme Court heard oral argument in a case — June Medical Services v. Russo — that will allow the court to right many of the wrongs of its abortion jurisprudence… The June case involves a challenge by abortionists and abortion businesses to a Louisiana “hospital admitting privileges” law. The Louisiana legislators supporting the law responded to a long string of abortion industry abuses that put the lives of Louisiana women at risk.

This Pro-Life, Female Democrat’s Law Is At The Heart Of Upcoming Supreme Court Abortion Case, by Mary M. Olohan

By Mary Margaret Olohan, Daily Caller - Louisiana state Sen. Katrina Jackson introduced the Unsafe Abortion Protection Act, or Act 620, in 2014, which requires abortion providers to have admitting privileges in a hospital within 30 miles of the abortion facility… “Just as Louisiana cares for the life of the child, it’s somehow a big secret that we also care for the life of the mother,” Jackson said at a Tuesday press conference in Washington, D.C. … “Louisiana stands together with women everywhere because we just don’t fight for us, we fight for our daughters, our nieces, and our aunts and everyone who’s yet to come, who has a decision to make,” the state senator said… “Well, as long as that decision is legal, we’re going to hold the physicians to the same standards in the area of women healthcare, that we hold them to in the area of man’s healthcare,” she added.

Supreme Court Will Hold Hearing Wednesday on Louisiana Law That Saves Babies From Abortion, by Micaiah Bilger

By Micaiah Bilger, LifeNews - It is difficult to take abortion activists seriously when they claim to protect women’s health and then fight against laws that require abortion facilities to meet basic health and safety standards… (Tomorrow), the U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments about those safety requirements and whether they violate a women’s access to abortion… The 2014 Louisiana law at the center of the case requires abortion providers to have hospital admitting privileges to treat patients with emergency complications. If allowed to take effect, it could close shoddy abortion facilities that are not prepared to help patients suffering from emergency complications.
