The pro-life organization described the move as a “victory” for human rights… “It is a victory for the Trump administration, which has been pushing to eliminate the phrase ‘sexual and reproductive health’ from UN documents,” the pro-life organization stated. “It is a blow to Europeans who insist that abortion be funded as humanitarian aid.”

American Life League: The Ninth Circuit Court Violates Religious Freedom

American Life League - American Life League president Judie Brown issued the following statement today regarding the Ninth Circuit Court’s recent decision to uphold the block on birth control exemption for religious employers: The Ninth Circuit has once again trampled on religious freedom. Forcing groups to cover birth control for their employees when these groups have religious objections to such coverage is a violation of the Constitutional protection afforded to those who believe in God and embrace their faith as part of their corporate policy. Even though the Ninth Circuit Court is growing ever colder to the reality that God does exist, we know better.

Federal Court Forces South Carolina Taxpayers to Fund Planned Parenthood Abortion Biz, by Micaiah Bilger

By Micaiah Bilger, LifeNews - A federal court ruled against South Carolina leaders’ efforts to defund the abortion chain Planned Parenthood again this week… The decision came from the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the latest news in a years-long effort to protect state taxpayer dollars from subsidizing the killing of unborn babies in abortions… In 2018, Republican Gov. Henry McMaster signed an executive order instructing the state Department of Health and Human Services to “terminate abortion clinics as Medicaid providers.” Planned Parenthood challenged the order in court, and a judge blocked the state from enforcing the order a few months later.

CNA: Pro-Life Leaders Ask HHS to Separate Abortion Payments in Insurance Plans

By Catholic News Agency - A group of pro-life leaders is calling on the Trump administration to finalize a rule that would require abortion to be billed separately from other services in taxpayer-funded health-insurance plans… The letter asked HHS to further these efforts by implementing a rule removing the ability for insurance companies to create “hidden abortion surcharges,” through which “enrollees ... are unknowingly paying into plans that subsidize elective abortion.”
