By Micaiah Bilger, LifeNews - Members of a Texas city council declared their home a “sanctuary city for the unborn” Tuesday in a unanimous vote… KETK News reports leaders of Waskom, an eastern Texas city, said their pro-life ordinance is a preventive measure that they hope will keep abortion businesses out of their area… Waskom is not far from the border of Louisiana, which recently passed a law banning abortions after an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable. City leaders said they do not want abortion businesses to try to open in their city to attract women from across the border.

Rutler, Crisis Magazine - On June 5, Biden had a campaign spokesman reiterate his longstanding support of the Hyde Amendment which, passed by Congress in 1977, prevented federal funding for abortions save for pregnancies caused by rape, incest, and considerations of risk to the life of the mother… A day after affirming the Hyde Amendment, Biden gave a speech in Atlanta in which he repudiated the Hyde Amendment, while simultaneously insisting that he was not rejecting his previous position on abortion funding, and adding that he would make “no apologies for the last position.”

Phil Scott signed a radical pro-abortion bill into law Monday, allowing unborn babies to be aborted for any reason up to birth… The Republican governor said the new law simply affirms legalized abortions in Vermont — “protecting reproductive rights and ensuring those decisions remain between a woman and her health care provider.”… pro-life leaders said the law really protects the abortion industry, not women… “By putting his signature on H. 57, Governor Phil Scott endorses unlimited, unregulated abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy,” said Mary Hahn Beerworth, Ex. Dir. of Vermont Right to Life. “His signature signals his preference for protecting the business of abortion over other life-affirming options in Vermont statute.
