By Katrina Trinko, The Daily Signal - Every year, thousands and thousands of pro-lifers come to Washington, D.C., brave the cold, and walk as witnesses in memory of the millions of lives lost in abortion and in hope that someday our country will no longer allow this injustice... Many of those attending make their own signs to share their special message. Photographer Jeff Malet snapped photos for The Daily Signal during the March for Life this year, and here are some of my favorites.

Their duty is to ensure that every pregnant mom who approaches the door doesn’t get deterred or change her mind, especially by pro-life sidewalk counselors banished to the perimeters of the clinic. They strive to guarantee that every potential customer with cash or credit leaves with an abortion under her belt.

By Susie Lloyd, EWTN News - “You see, when you come to pray, you are saving lives even if you don't know it. Women see you and instead of pulling into the parking lot, they drive right by. When you are on the sidewalk, women see you as an outward sign of their inward conscience,” she said... What I am doing now, standing outside just a few feet from the door of a local PP, praying, occasionally trying to talk to someone, is still just another step. Does it help anyone? I don’t know. But I hope it at least prepares me to help someone when the time comes.

There’s no more pretense that an unborn child is a pod produced by mother, a clump of cells, or some kind of parasite. Even some feminists like Naomi Wolf came around to admit it. Abortion is killing. A fetus is human, innocent, alive, and really just another word for “baby.” Wolf was honest enough some years ago to grant all that. But she said that it doesn’t matter. We should still be allowed to kill them.
