We traveled throughout the area on day trips, returning each night to the monastery where we stayed. On days when there was no travel, we had class, and free time to read, study, and pray in the city of Bethlehem.

Federal Court: “Planned Parenthood Does Not Have a 14th Amendment Right to Perform Abortions”, by Micaiah Bilger

By Micaiah Bilger, LifeNews - The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals granted a major victory to Ohio taxpayers Tuesday when it ruled that the state may defund the abortion giant Planned Parenthood... Ohio lawmakers tried to cut off the abortion group’s taxpayer funding after it was caught in multiple states allegedly selling aborted baby body parts. Then-Ohio Gov. John Kasich signed the pro-life bill into law in 2016, but Planned Parenthood challenged it in court... The Sixth Circuit ruling, written by Judge Jeffrey Sutton, a George W. Bush-appointee, argued that Planned Parenthood does “not have a Fourteenth Amendment right to perform abortions.”

CNA: Baton Rouge Catholic Charities Expands International Adoption Services

Catholic News Agency - Paula Davis… (of) Catholic Charities of Baton Rouge, told CNA that the agency saw a need for adoption services north of Baton Rouge and expanded to fill that need… “I think one of the values [of being a Catholic-based adoption service] is that we are mission-based, so we’re providing services, whether its domestic or international, based on the needs of the child, but also with respect for life,” Davis said… She also said that they are looking for families not only for infants, but for “all children who are in need of a loving, stable home.”

FDA Tells Abortion Activists to Stop Selling Dangerous Abortion Pills Putting Women’s Lives at Risk, by Micaiah Bilger

By Micaiah Bilger, LifeNews - The Food and Drug Administration issued warning letters last week to two abortion groups that are selling dangerous abortion drugs to American women over the internet… The groups are putting women at “significant health risks,” according to the agency. They allow women to buy the drugs online without ever seeing a doctor, though abusive partners or parents could easily buy the drugs as well… It noted that approved abortion drugs in the U.S. are dangerous even when provided legally, writing, “… the drug carries a risk of serious or even life-threatening adverse effects, including serious and sometimes fatal infections and prolonged heavy bleeding …”
