Washington, DC – A Catholic university in California refused to cancel a fundraiser for the Planned Parenthood abortion chain this week hosted by one of its student groups on campus.

Loyola Marymount University told Angelus News that the fundraiser is a project of its Women in Politics student club, not a “university sponsored” event.

Students and alumni have been urging the university to cancel the Nov. 5 fundraiser, calling it “an egregious violation of LMU’s Jesuit, Catholic identity.” Planned Parenthood is a billion-dollar abortion group that reported more than 354,000 abortions in 2020. The number represents about 40 percent of all unborn babies who were aborted in the U.S. that year….
