Faithful Catholics are prayerfully pleading for a cure to the Chinese virus, but a happy side-effect is also occurring: Louisiana, Texas and Ohio each have issued orders suspending all non-essential surgeries, and that includes abortions.

The three remaining Louisiana abortion mills will be closing, and the facilities appear to be complying for now.

However, an official at one of the three, Hope Medical Group for Women in Shreveport, said they are intending to fight the directive amid their closure.

In Texas, the attorney general’s office says it will shut down any clinics providing abortions — explicitly saying they are not essential surgeries, following Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s executive order.  …
