In early January 2020, the World Health Organization (“WHO”) announced a mysterious coronavirus-related pneumonia coming out of Wuhan, China.

A couple weeks later, the Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”) confirmed the first coronavirus case hit the United States. Global air travel was restricted in early February, and, a day later, the United States declared a public health emergency.

A month later, the WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic, and, two days later, President Trump announced the United States was in the throes of a national emergency.

In early April, the CDC recommended Americans wear masks in public. Since then, half the country (25 states) have turned the CDC recommendation into a mandate, forcing citizens to mask up. …
