U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN 5th District) was a guest on the far-left program “Democracy Now!” where she blamed Venezuela’s current crisis on the United States.
“A lot of the policies that we have put in place has kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela,” she claimed, “and we sort of set the stage for where we are arriving today.”
That comment didn’t sit well with Nikki Haley (pictured at right), the former UN ambassador, who used Twitter to point out that Venezuelan adults have lost 24 pounds on average because they are starving, and babies there have no milk, all because of the “corrupt” regime under dictator Nicolas Maduro.
“Your comments are so far from the truth,” Haley continued. “Cuba and Russia appreciate your support.”
Laurie Cardoza-Moore, president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations, says Omar’s viewpoint and values come from her Somali background, not the United States.
“She looks like a fool every time she opens her mouth,” Cardoza-Moore says of the congresswoman. “She is a traitor to the United States of America.”
Instead of serving in Congress, Omar deserves to be investigated by the attorney general, she adds.
