Marchers will be praying – not protesting – in Washington, DC, on Saturday during an event organized by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

The PrayerMarch2020.com website says the gathering will be “a dedicated prayer march, not a protest, and not a rally supporting any candidate or political party.” BGEA president and CEO Franklin Graham was on the “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins” radio program last week to discuss the upcoming march.

“The only hope for this country is God. It’s not a political party, it’s not our system – it’s God,” Graham stated. “… We need to call on God, and we need as a nation to confess our sins and to repent, and we need to put our faith and trust in God’s Son, Jesus Christ.”

The prayer march will begin around noon at the Lincoln Memorial and end at the U.S. Capitol. The prayer focus will change at various locales along the march route.

Graham expects it to last about two hours, although he says people can travel at their own speed. ….
