The pro-life group Rock for Life has kicked off its summer campaign to promote life at rock concerts across the United States.

Headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Rock for Life champions the sanctity of human life for both the born and the preborn – from conception until death – by “engaging the culture through music, education and action.

The organization will erect tents to spread the message of life at nearly 100 rock concerts scheduled across America – 58 Christian and secular concerts scheduled in 41 states and these pro-life activists will travel more than 27,000 miles to accomplish this gigantic feat.

Rock for Life Director Erik Whittington shared that his ministry has been invited on the secular Vans Warped Tour for the second year in a row, but noted that there has been some major opposition.

“There is a petition online at Change.org that is actually hosted by a band that is on the tour called War on Women, and the petition is to get us kicked off,” the pro-life leader pointed out. “They feel that we should not be there because we’re pro-life. They feel that we are hateful towards women.

Those who serve with Rock for Life insist that their group is actually pro-women – hoping to spare them the consequences of abortion … both physical and emotional.

In opposition to the pro-life group’s presence at American concerts, numerous hateful comments have been posted on Twitter.

But Whittington is thankful that decision makers are more about honoring the First Amendment than silencing the politically incorrect.

“Fortunately for us, the owner is a free speech advocate, and even though he doesn’t agree with our position – actually, even though he has hosted concerts that raise money for pro-choice organizations – he believes that we have a right to be there … as long as we are not hateful or racist.”

Those characteristics are far from the personality behind Rock for Life, which is rooted in love and unity.

The youth pro-life group estimates that their personnel will reach over a million young people with the message for life for the preborn.
