Author Joy Pullmann profileAccording to demographer Nicholas Eberstadt, for the first time in human history since the bubonic plague in the medieval 1300s, global population is declining. The world’s fertility rate just hit a 60-year low, and it’s set to keep decreasing. The nations with replacement-rate fertility are largely terrible places where people die young, such as Somalia, the Congo, and Afghanistan.

The United States faces a population bomb of not too many people, but too few. We’re a slight outlier among Western nations in losing our population at a slightly slower rate, but only narrowly. And that’s entirely due to importing foreigners whose families require larger outlays from our welfare state and who mostly worship pagan gods. ….
