Slowly but surely, free speech, as our Constitution meant it to be, is being restored on the social media platform Twitter. After having it squashed by a woke agenda for nearly two years, one man, Elon Musk, who happens to be the richest man in the world and isn’t a conservative, is willing to risk it all to release free speech. He bought Twitter for billions of dollars to restore free speech.

The prospect of free speech being restored, so that all can contribute in this social media public square, should be rejoiced, but it isn’t. Many on the left, who claim to be champions of free speech, aren’t too thrilled that an equal exchange of ideas is returning, and they are willing to do whatever it takes to stop him.

The hosts of “After Dark” believe that most leftists feel that their woke ideas are all that matters. They couldn’t care if free speech was limited to only their ideas. This is evident in how they are pushing back against Musk. While Musk’s efforts are to be praised, the hosts, fear that his efforts will be challenged not only by woke individuals but by the woke and corrupt Biden Administration. It will take the concerted efforts of all Republicans to make certain free speech is restored the way it should be.
