(CNSNews.com) — In Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, the March for Life Education and Defense Fund announced the theme for the 2020 March for Life, which takes place on Jan. 24. The theme is “Life Empowers, Pro-Life is Pro-Woman.” March for Life President Jeanne Mancini said the upcoming march will seek to “evoke confidence rather than fear” about unplanned pregnancy and motherhood, and advocate for community support for unexpected pregnancies.

The March for Life, which has occurred every year since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973,  involves tens of thousands of pro-life activists from all over the country who first listen to speakers on the National Mall – last year included President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence – and then march along Constitution Avenue, up Capitol Hill, and then rally in front of the Supreme Court.

On Tuesday, Serrin M. Foster, president of Feminists for Life and a supporter of the March for Life, noted during the theme-announcement the recent anniversary of the 19th amendment, saying “suffragists were pro-life.” (The 19th Amendment was officially adopted on Aug. 26, 1920.) ….
