An undercover probe suggests women seeking a chemical abortion at a New Mexico clinic could be harmed or killed.

Tara Shaver of Abortion Free New Mexico called the facility, Hilltop Women’s Reproductive Clinic in Santa Teresa (near El Paso, TX), posing as a potential customer. Shaver asked the following questions and got this response:

Shaver: “I was wondering – are you guys able to detect like an ectopic pregnancy if I came in for a procedure there?”

Clinic worker: “I’m not sure, ma’am.”

Shaver: “Do you know if your sonogram is able to detect or could you maybe ask someone, one of the nurses or someone?”

Clinic worker: “We don’t do the vaginal sonogram. The vaginal sonogram would detect if it’s ectopic, so I recommend you go with someone that do a vaginal sonogram.” ….
