PLANNED PARENTHOOD PUSHING SEX ED: CA Teacher: Unions Force ‘Far Left’ Abortion, Sex Ed Programs, by Michael F. Haverluck

A 28-year veteran teacher in the California public school system exposed the ultra-liberal abortion and sex ed programs being pushed by teachers unions working with “far-left” groups to indoctrinate students in their radical agenda.

In a recent column, pro-life Christian teacher Rebecca Friedrichs explained how teachers unions – in cahoots with Planned Parenthood and other radical pro-abortion groups – in California are dictating how instruction on abortion and sex education is being taught in classrooms.

“Years ago – as a California teacher – I was shocked to learn that state and national teachers’ unions collude with Planned Parenthood,” Friedrichs recounted in her op-ed on Fox News. “They use teacher dues money and resources – behind our backs and against our wills – to bring the abortion industry into our schools. Many of our nation’s public schools require teachers to instruct children as young as 12 on how and where to obtain birth control – including the morning-after pill and abortions – without parental knowledge or permission. If teachers refuse to teach this, the law mandates ‘experts’ like Planned Parenthood take over the classroom.”

No way out?

Friedrichs lamented that for decades, she had no choice but to fund a group that forced her fellow teachers to instruct according to its pro-abortion and liberal sex ed programs that ran against her sincerely held biblical beliefs on human sexuality.

“Throughout my 28-year career, I was forced to fund the California Teachers’ Association (CTA) and the National Education Association (NEA), and I personally witnessed their zealous devotion to abortion and the far-left sexual agenda,” Friedrichs noted. “They even helped lead The Women’s March.”

The pro-life educator stressed how unions work hand-in-hand with radical left groups to get students on board with their pro-LGBT, pro-abortion, sexual libertine agenda.

“Unions also work with the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center –[SPLC], GLSEN (Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network), SIECUS and many other far-left groups to push a radical sexual agenda onto our kids and to punish teachers, parents and students who dare to speak out against it,” Friedrichs continued. “For example, pro-life Christian teachers have been spit upon by NEA activists. When they dared to produce medically accurate evidence seeking balance in NEA sex education policies, union activist teachers told them, ‘There’s a special place in hell for people like you.’”

It’s that bad

In a recent interview, Friedrichs indicated that it is an understatement to call the organizations dictating the sex ed agenda in the schools as merely left-leaning – she called them “far, hard left groups” pushing their propaganda through the unions and onto the teachers and students.

“What’s going on right now in California, specifically, is we passed a law requiring some very offensive sex-ed,” the public school teacher expressed in the interview, according to TheBlaze. “You’ve had another guest on whose told you a little bit about that sex-ed: forcing teachers to tell little children that at age 12 they have the right to go get an abortion without their parents’ knowledge or permission, and the schools will help them get there and help them fund it.”

Teachers not behind it?

When asked how this instruction is infiltrating public schools and whose money is funding it, Friedrichs emphasized that teachers’ unions are ultimately the ones behind its implementation.

“What’s shocking is teachers have no idea – people think teachers are these far-left people pushing this stuff, [but] that is a lie,” Friedrichs explained. “Teachers are these – most teachers are good – loving people, and many of them are against abortion and are against sexualizing little children, but we are being used by very powerful organizations. The teachers’ unions collect about $5 billion a year tax-free from teachers, and they use that money to push their personal social, sexual and political agenda into our schools.”

Friedrichs encouraged fellow educators to boycott teachers’ unions and cease their payments to them.

“All teachers across the country – in fact, all government employees – are now free to pay unions nothing,” she impressed. “We are still unionized. We’re still forced to accept their representation. They’re still bullying us and steamrolling us, but we don’t have to pay them any longer, and I hope and pray that teachers will stand together and stop paying them, and I’m hoping we can eventually get them out of our schools.”

Friedrichs – who previously sued the CTA – was alluding to another lawsuit that liberated teachers from having to pay union dues.

“While Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association ultimately failed to change the legal landscape, the Supreme Court ruled last year in Janus v. American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees that it was unconstitutional to force public-sector employees to pay union dues – regardless of whether they wanted to join or supported their union’s political positions,”LifeSiteNews informed.
