Praise God for the glorious gift he has given us in Mary, Queen and Mother.
Sometimes we forget what a blessing we have in Mary, Queen and Mother of us all. She is our advocate before God, cheering us on and helping us with her prayers.
Here is the collect for her feast on August 22, praising God for such a great gift as Mary, Queen and Mother.
Almighty God, our Father,
you have given us Mary, the Mother of your Son,
to be our Mother and Queen.
Grant that, supported by her prayers,
we may come to the kingdom of heaven
and to the glory destined for your children.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
