A black author and commentator says the Church in America is being taken in by socialist tactics and rhetoric.

In 2019, the Southern Baptist Convention voted to allow Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality (CRT/I) to be used as tools to help explain supposed “systemic racism” within the Church and in culture at large. Critical Race Theory – according to Britannica.com – is “the view that race, instead of being biologically grounded and natural, is socially constructed; and that race, as a socially constructed concept, functions as a means to maintain the interests of the white population that constructed it.” The theory of Intersectionality says all oppressed groups are interdependent and subject to overlapping systems of oppression.
