Edward WelschThe American right has tried talking with the left; the left has responded with violence. This was demonstrated in gruesome detail last month in Utah, when a young man radicalized online by left-wing, trans ideology murdered Charlie Kirk, the most prominent conservative practitioner of peaceful dialogue, in front of a stadium full of students.

A long trail of left-wing violence precedes that shocking event. Just days before, another trans ideologue shot up a church full of children in Minneapolis, killing two kids. And, just days after, a rooftop sniper who left behind anti-ICE messages opened fire on the Dallas ICE detention center, shooting three people and killing one. Over the past 10 years, the left has vandalized, burned, looted, and murdered in cities across America, starting with the Ferguson riots in Missouri and reaching a fever pitch with the nationwide uprising sparked by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in 2020. …
