Once reliably liberal Ninth Circuit Court backs president’s defunding of Planned Parenthood

WASHINGTON (ChurchMilitant.com) – The U.S. abortion industry’s flagship enterprise took a major hit on July 11 when the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals lifted lower-court injunctions against President Donald Trump’s administrative rule that ceased the flow of taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood.

The court’s action came as a surprise because it has consistently acted as a hostile barrier against President Trump’s policy agendas. However, the president has been tremendously successful with the confirmations of constitutionalist judicial nominees.

Thus far, the Ninth Circuit Court boasts six Trump appointees with a seventh recently confirmed.

To date, Trump has successfully nominated 41 appeals courts judges; 80 district court judges; and two Supreme Court justices, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.

The court’s July determination upholds Trump’s Protect Life Rule, which was promulgated in March. ….
