Complicit Clergy
Pope Francis announced that the Pachamama idols that had been removed from the Church of Santa Maria in Traspontina and thrown into the Tiber earlier this week have been retrieved. He issued a formal apology stating,
“As bishop of this diocese, I apologize to those who have been offended by this act.” He also suggested that the pagan idols would be present at the closing Mass for the Amazon Synod in St. Peter’s Basilica on Sunday.
For the first time since the idols appeared at the opening ceremony for the Amazon Synod, Pope Francis himself today confirmed the identity of the idols as the pagan goddess Pachamama.
We are calling upon all faithful Catholics within the vicinity of Rome to go to St. Peter’s Basilica this Sunday, October 27. The closing Mass is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Rome time. While it is unlikely people will be granted access to the Basilica, we urge you to pray your rosary outside the Basilica before and during the Mass. Ask our blessed mother Mary to intercede to prevent this evil that is allowing pagan idols to desecrate the same place in which the most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will take place.
For those unable to be in Rome, we ask you to please begin praying your rosary at 4:45 a.m. Eastern time.
