I don’t mean to tell the truth about the faults of others, of course, but rather to tell the truth about Catholic faith and morals outside that safe circle of the few family members and acquaintances who share our values. Faithful Catholics rarely find themselves in public situations in which a clear statement of the truth about Christ, the Church or morality is likely to be well-received.
