Pro-Abort Planned Parenthood’s Deadly Mission Renews Focus

State pro-life groups and their members could very well be the determining factor in blunting a quest by the nation’s biggest abortion conglomerate to challenge life-saving laws.

In response to what it calls “attacks” by the Trump administration on women’s “health care,” Planned Parenthood is launching an initiative to (1) overturn protections in all 50 states for preborn babies and their mothers and (2) expand access to abortion. So says Jim Sedlak of the American Life League, who cites as an example a California bill the abortion chain wants in every state.

“They’ve gotten a bill passed through the legislature – and it’s ready to be signed by the governor – that would require every state university to provide the abortion pill to students at the universities for free from the on-campus health centers,” Sedlak explains. That bill is the “College Student Right to Access Act” (SB 320).

In addition, with the help of the ACLU, the abortion giant is pushing passage of a bill in Maine requiring nurse practitioners to dispense RU-486 on demand rather than doing so through physicians. And a bill in Missouri – also backed by Planned Parenthood – would repeal that state’s 72-hour waiting period for abortions.

“They’re trying to strike down all the waiting period laws that exist across the country,” Sedlak informs, “and they’re trying to strike down all of the informed consent laws that exist across the country, all of the parental consent laws – just everything they can do.”

That includes efforts by Planned Parenthood in Virginia to abolish health and safety standards established by the state for abortion clinics.

According to Sedlak, Planned Parenthood plans to expand the campaign from 13 to all 50 states by the end of the year – and he says the major factor to stop the move is for pro-lifers to get on track to oppose deregulation of abortion.

On a related note, Sedlak reports that the abortion giant is planning to add more sites offering “webcam” abortions – a controversial procedure (but highly profitable one for Planned Parenthood) that has been outlawed in 19 states.
