Spiritual warfare, an important part of Christian life, demands vigilance and perseverance. But, it also helps us live in the peace and joy of the Beatitudes. The theme of “spiritual warfare” runs through Sacred Scripture, and is also part of the teaching of Tradition and the Magisterium. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church states:
