House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., announced July 8 that President Donald Trump’s newly signed “Big Beautiful Bill” enshrines 28 of his executive actions into federal law.
“Congress has cemented President Trump’s agenda by passing the Administration’s signature legislation — the One Big Beautiful Bill,” Johnson announced in a July 8 statement. “In this historic act, Republicans included 28 of President Trump’s top executive actions – now codifying some of the most significant America First priorities.”
According to the Blaze, Trump told reporters the bill gives legal permanence to many of his prior executive orders.
“A lot of the things that we did in executive orders have been codified in the legislation that we just had passed,” he said, “and we’re going to be sending in a lot over the next period of about two months separately, but a lot of it was part of that Big, Beautiful Bill.”…
