An advocate for the restoration of all things in Christ says a Catholic organization’s involvement in the presidential election could be a violation of its own standards.
Michael Hichborn, founder of the Lepanto Institute, says his research and education organization dedicated to the defense of the Catholic Church against assaults from without as well as from within is the first to sound the alarm.
“The Catholic Campaign for Human Development, which belongs to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, has been funding affiliates of an organization called Faith in Action,” Hichborn explains. “Faith in Action used to be called the Pico Network; back in 2016, when the CCHD gave $500,000 to the Pico Network, they were actually giving it to what is now called Faith in Action.”
Faith in Action is calling for the election of Joe Biden and the defeat of President Donald Trump. Though Biden is Catholic, his support for abortion violates the tenets of the faith. So in providing grants to Faith in Action, bishops are helping the election efforts of a man who defends a woman’s choice to end her preborn baby’s life through all nine months of pregnancy. …
