(LifeSiteNews) — Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller, the former Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF), gave multiple talks during a pastoral trip in the United States, one of them at the Philadelphia International Institute for Culture (IIC), in which he forcefully reminded his audience that the leaders of the Catholic Church must remain loyal to teachings set forth by Jesus Christ Himself and not to try to adapt them to the spirit of the times. “A Church that no longer believes in Jesus the Christ is no longer the Church of Jesus Christ,” he insisted.
