U.S. Catholics: Immigrant Surge, Fading Faith and Morals, by Vicki Yamasaki

By Vicki Yamasaki, Corpus Christi for Unity and Peace - The U.S. Catholic Church stands at a crossroads, marked by an aging flock, a growing immigrant presence, and a devastating erosion of faith and morals. The Pew Religious Landscape Study (RLS) for Catholics from 2007, 2014, and 2023-24 offers a sobering glimpse into this crisis for traditional Catholics rooted in the Magisterium’s truths: for every 100 Catholics entering, 800 Catholics leave, prayer is declining, belief in God is plummeting, and a super majority supports issues deemed morally evil by the Church—demographically propped up by immigrants yet spiritually adrift. ...

By Ben Johnson,  The Daily Signal - As U.S. public school scores plunge yet again, a new study shows homeschool students are more likely to report positive mental health outcomes, to be married and have children, to volunteer in their communities, and to believe in God... The report’s findings come as President Donald Trump contemplates returning most of the federal government’s role in education back to the states and eventually abolishing the U.S. Department of Education... By Bronson Winslow, The American Spectator - While neither the Republican Party nor the Democratic Party is specifically Christian, the Democratic Party alone is demonic. The Republican Party is far more responsive to Christian concerns, if for no other reason than Evangelical Christians and theologically conservative Catholics make up a much larger part of that party’s base than they do the Democratic Party... The Democratic Party is not just non-Christian but demonic because its two greatest idols are the grave evils of LGBTQ immorality (especially the multi-threat of transgenderism) and abortion.

Fr. Shenan J. Boquet: Marriage and True Love versus “Contraceptive Love”

By Fr. Shenan J. Boquet, Human Life International - It is not uncommon to question why the Catholic Church is interested in contraception. Further, because the subject is rarely preached about or spoken of, it is often unclear what exactly the Church teaches and why... Modern society idolizes what it perceives as freedom, especially regarding human sexuality. Some assert that “love is love.” Sex is seen primarily as a matter of “self-expression” or “self-fulfillment.” This means one can love whoever they want and however they wish. However, proponents of this view never define what “love” is, or acknowledge the potential harm this view creates.
