Deficit of Courage: Part II, by Roger Helle

Last week I wrote about the lack of moral courage amongst our government leaders. I especially called out leaders in the highest level of government. None had the courage to challenge the slow-motion train wreck of the Afghanistan surrender. It was a DISASTER that did not have to happen.

One Marine officer had the courage to call out our leaders. As I am a former Marine myself, it saddens me that no other active-duty officers joined in. Apparently, some of his fellow officers wanted him to remove his social media posts to save his career; he did not.

It would be disingenuous of me to lay all the blame entirely on our political elites. This did not happen suddenly or in a vacuum. This is a result of a lack of spiritual courage taking place for decades now that left a vacuum, which was quickly filled by leftist politicians. …
