During a press briefing at the Pentagon, a “Senior Defense Official” confirmed to reporters that U.S. troops are currently on the ground in Ukraine apparently to oversee the shipment of U.S. weapons to the front lines.
On Oct. 31, a Senior Defense Official and a Senior Military Official held a background briefing on Ukraine at the Pentagon, according to a Department of Defense (DoD) press release. The names of the two officials who provided the briefings were redacted.
During the briefing, the Senior Defense Official spoke on the methods being used by the U.S. to prevent “the diversion of U.S.-provided weapons to Ukraine.” …
