The European Parliament voted by a margin of 336-163 for a resolution “on the inclusion of the right to abortion in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.”
Eilís Mulroy, the head of ProLife Campaign in Ireland, criticized the vote in an email to LifeNews.com.
“Whilst this is a non-binding resolution, it still places undue pressure on member states such as Poland, Malta, and Slovakia. It would generate significant opposition from millions of EU citizens who fundamentally reject the false premise that abortion should be considered a ‘fundamental right,’” she said. …
