It is a chore to re-read Leviticus every year or so, since it primarily outlines the demands of Jewish ritual and ritual purity, as prescribed by God through Moses. But in my series on the Old Testament several years ago, I noticed that the rules God established for the Jewish community at this early date also teach us a great deal about personal and social morality today.
