On Friday, Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) issued an announcement to the Virginia school district’s families and staff, notifying them that LCPS has hired a law firm to review its handling of two alleged sexual assaults, one of which allegedly took place in a transgender school bathroom.
According to a Loudoun Times-Mirror story updated on Tuesday, the announcement was issued a day after Virginia’s Attorney General-Elect told reporters he plans to launch an investigation of LCPS and whether it attempted to cover up the allegations, rather than deal with them:
“Loudoun County Public Schools has commissioned a law firm to conduct an independent review of its handling of allegations of two sexual assaults reported at Stone Bridge and Broad Run high schools in Ashburn earlier this year, according to a Friday evening announcement. …
